I would like get everyone's opinion about getting another cat. I have a kitten who 5 and a 1/2 months old, yesterday I cat sat for a 7 month old kitten. When the owner picked him up she asked me if I wanted to keep him, he is the same color as mine only long hair, he's lovable, he got along fine with my other kitten and played well with the puppy, he has all his shots and is fixed. Now my problem is I live on Main Street and have kept my kitten indoors, this cat is a outdoor, indoor cat, I also have 3 dogs, 3 snakes, 6 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, 1 gerbil, and the kitten, also I am not a cat person, I love the kitten to death, he's cuddly and very friendly, but, if I take the other kitten in will it be very hard to keep him in the house? How will my other kitten react? He was fine for a visit but to stay? I have thought about this all night and all day, the owner needs to get rid of him because she can't have him in her new apt. Should I take him, he'll be spoiled and have a good home if I do. ARRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! I can't make up my mind.{confused}

Not another animal! J/K!! How did the two get along when you were cat sitting? From what I've seen with cats they usually will either get along really well after awhile or will just avoid each other. I say go for it.

Thanks kezzer for the great advice, I'm leaning towards the idea to take him in. I have to watch him Saturday so I'll see. If I take him in you know I'll have to put up a sign in the front yard that says: Devoted Care Day Care
All children and pets welcome!
(berta walks away shaking her head and debating wether or not to add a room onto her house just for the pets,or should I just build them their own house in the back yard?.{confused}

I think pretty soon they'll need their own house!

Okay Okay, I'm taking him in, I might try it tomorrow but I honestly think I'll wait until Saturday so it's just my family and not much traffic in and out the door.

Go Berta! With your collection, who's gonna notice one more?!? You must be an {angel2}. My indoor/outdoor cat used to dart out the door every chance, but first time she laid eyes on two very big black dogs, she came in and became a very happy "indoor only" cat. Enjoy the kittie. {pinky}

How are they getting along? Two cats is always better than one IMO. They're much more easy to keep when they have another cat to keep them company.

Funny you should ask Anat I just got him today (the owner really didn't want to let him go) they get along fine, he's playing with Shilo and already has a spot picked out on my daughters bed to sleep. I'm going to make him his own cat page so everyone can see what he looks like.

I think the more the merrier. I would vote to keep the little fur ball. If they get along, great. And he's already found his bed. Sounds like a match made in heaven.
