I want to vent a little...
Why won't anyone give President Bush a chance? Everytime he opens his mouth to speak, someone is saying how wrong he is, before he even finishes his sentance!!

OK... maybe you were on the other side... but let the guy make it or break it on his own!!! Maybe he will be awful.. maybe he will be great.. But we will never know if all we do is wait for him to mess up!!

Seriously, you know - I haven't really been following to much about Bush. (I've tended to change the channel). What's been happening to him?

All I really know about Bush is that he fiiiiiinally won the election, and I've heard he did the inaugural thing and something about finding new cabinet members. I don't fair well with news, and especially politics.

I never get a chance to find out what he is ACTUALLY TRYING to do... all I ever hear is the people complaining about how it is unfair, too religious, favors the rich etc...

I know the tax breaks seem more fair to the richer ones.. but they ALSO said *I* would pay about 200 less... that is a third of my tax dollars and I for one think that is a big deal.

My main point is the media is jumping about how wrong it is before he ever says WHAT it is he wants!!

The rich get more tax savings (in dollars) because they pay significantly more in taxes. That other thread gives lots of specific examples from TurboTax.

That is kinda my point.. I mean I do not think it is fair that they pay 39 % of thier income in taxes!! (that is in the highest tax bracket) And this is coming from someone who (due to family size & income) qualifies for Food Stamps!!

I am actually one of the poor.. and *I* think a flat tax is the fairest!
Of course that is just my opinion.. and you know what *they* say about opinions!!
