Do you tip pre-tax or post tax?

Jim says at FindaLink.net (http://www.findalink.net/tippingetiquette.php) that pre-tax is fine, but many people tip on the total bill?

Post-tax for me. I figure they deserve as much as they can get. Watiing tables is not a fun job.
