If you get up from the table briefly at a restaurant, do you leave your napkin on the chair or on the table?
Jim says it is more appropriate to leave it on the table, but I have had waiters take it off the table and put it on my chair.
Which do you think is right? Does it matter?
I guess I leave mine on the back of the chair.

Chair or table. It depends upon how crowded the table is with plates, silverware, glasses, etc.

I used to be a chair guy, but I switched to the table about a year ago. I don't think it really matters.

What if you wipe your mouth with your sleeve? Wouldn't be too appropriate to leave it ANYWHERE in the restaraunt...would it? {duh}
