Are you supposed to tip the lawn boy?

A neighborhood kid mows our lawn. Are you supposed to tip him? I've never done it, but I've always wondered if I should.

If you are supposed to, what do you do if there are like 3 people working on your lawn at once?

I don't think it would be normal to tip him. You might give a tip at Christmastime, but that is not necessary.

Aren't you already paying him for the job? I wouldn't tip him... unless he went out of the way to pull the weeds in your flower garden or something.... then he would deserve a tip. You pay for the work they do.

I might give the lawn boy a Christmas tip, but not a normal tip. I guess if he did a job that greatly exceeded my expectations I might tip him, but still probably not.
