My tarantula had babies!
WOW....what a shocker too...we had no idea.
We have had her....oh, I guess about three months...we weren't aware she was going to have babies, but she sure did surprise us!

She had been working on this web thingy for days...maybe almost a week. She finished it last night around 7:30pm...Well, when she was finished it was shaped like a bowl...pure white, cocoon looking thing.
We thought she was going to moult...boy were we wrong!!
At about 9: pm, I was closing up the house for bed, and when I looked into her tank she was right in the middle of laying eggs. There must be, like 300 or 400 of them!
I have no idea what to do, but I'm sure I will figure it out along the way.
Besides, I am waiting for Kezzer to write me back...she knows lots of stuff about exotic pets....She always helps me out with this stuff.

Well, these better be the last Grandkids I have...for a long long long time!!

Oh my. What does one feed baby tarantulas I wonder? That is so uh... neat? *chuckle* Honestly, spiders don't bother me that much at all. The only ones I don't like are the Black Widows around here! They are all over the place. Yikes!

Do you know how long before they hatch? Are you picking out hundreds of names? {toothy}

When I was growing up, my mom let us have all kinds of pets. She loves animals. Our family has had birds, dogs, chinchillas, hamsters, mice, and rats.

What are you going to do with them? I think spiders are cute - I really do. I love all animals except roaches.

Oh no Anat don't tell me Israel has roaches also. Is there no place safe on this earth from them? {eek2}

We had hissing cockroaches and deaths head roaches. They're actually pretty cool.

AAAAAAHHHH! Roaches are foul little creatures!
We are giving the babies to the Zoo.
It is going to be terribly difficult to separate them when they hatch, so hubby is thinking about taking the egg sack out now, putting into an incubator and hatching them separate.
I don't know.....he comes up with something different everyday!

I believe that when our 'time has come'....those things will be the only things left standing.....they are soooooo hard to get rid of!
