Love the pics. I need to post some of my longhorn pictures at the ranch. I recently had a baby longhorn born with blue eyes. So far no one I have mentioned this to has ever seen this. He is so pretty and his eyes look like those dogs that have the blue eyes. It is really kind of eerie looking but so neat. He has perfect eyesight (well, I mean he's not running into trees or anything), so vision appears normal. He's a sweety.

What a cute kitty, but I think Akira looked better in my basement.:)
kezzer
09-11-2003, 01:08 AM
lol yeah! The first kitty I posted, the troublemaker on the jeep, got into Berta's basement where she had a have a heart trap, dummy got in it and of course couldn't get out. She calls me and says come over to the gate I have a present for you. ( for those new, and those who may have forgotten, we are neighbors)

I was wondering about that :)

do i have to have so many posts before i can post a pic???? i tried and it says i may not add attachments
theyeti
09-11-2003, 11:47 PM
Hmmm, I don't know why it would be doing that. The only thing I can think of is maybe the file was too big, or it didn't have a valid file extension perhaps? As far as I know anyone can post attachments...
kezzer
09-12-2003, 02:04 AM
I'm not sure either, JIm may have made so many posts before pics so as to ward off spammers posting bad stuff.
theyeti
09-12-2003, 08:56 AM
Good point, I didn't think of that.
Berta
09-12-2003, 09:13 AM
I was going to ask the same thing. In the forum rules at the bottom of this page it says that I may not post attachments in this forum.

You don't use an attachment, you use the img tags.
Example:
[ img ]http://frappydoo.com/images/frappydooboxes2.gif[ /img ]
Don't include the spaces around "img" and "/img".
It would produce:
http://frappydoo.com/images/frappydooboxes2.gif

I think mods can do attachments, but users cannot. Users should be able to do [ img ] tags though. Try that. That's what we turned on. The MODS have just been doing it wrong. Bad MODS. Bad. Bad. {smash}

Two things: :)
1. So this means that right now regular users can't upload images from their own computer?
and
2. Are you saying that us mods could've flaunted our power to use attachments all along and we just didn't know about it? ;)
kezzer
09-16-2003, 11:45 PM
Oopsies, I've been using the attach file box all along.

This is my newest kitty,Dixie Doodle. She's quite a handful at 8 months old!She looks alot like kezzers' that was posted.
http://mywebpage.netscape.com/PSPprolady/Photos/Tobias_Aristotle_C
This is my largest kitty at 27 lbs. Tobias Aristotle C.(our last initial)His initials spell cat backwords...aren't I the smart one?His right eye has since turned orange

This is Murphy and I think he's a dog???Actually he is and a shih-tzu at that...we call him "Da Mutt"
theyeti
12-06-2003, 02:25 PM
They look great!
27 pounds!? Wow! He looks almost exactly like my mundo-cat too, but she's only 18 or 19. I'll have to find a picture sometime so we can compare....
EmBee
12-07-2003, 04:10 AM
Great...Please do,I'd love to see her!
My sil adopted Tobias' brother from the same animal shelter and on the same day as I got Toby.We noticed when we got to my house how much they looked alike...they have almost identical markings but they're on opposite sides. One of the biggest differences though is when Toby is laying on his back,he has markings that look alot like a women's bikini...two white diamond shapes where a top would be and on his lower belly he has an upside down triangle like a pair of bottoms,Gus has a circle up top and a kidney shape down below. The only other obvious difference is that Toby has a milk spot on the right side of his upper lip and one sharp green eye and a bright orange one.
Her cat,Gustov, weighs in at a hefty 29...but he looks like a tic with a tiny head and a swollen body...the vet put him on a strict diet but he says Toby is meant to be so big because of his wide head and huge feet.
Thank you,by the way!

They are adorable! Thanks for sharing with us!
You're right, the little one almost does look like mine! Mine is becoming a pig, he's probably about 8 or 9 months and he's getting quite fat, if he wasn't a he I would begin to wonder if he was pregnant with about 50 kittens!

EmBee
12-07-2003, 11:22 PM
{yikes}Aaaugh...is that a real mousie?Poor little thing...it looks like Pickles' dwarf hammie.{bawling}
Mystic is a cutie and rather large as well!Come to think of it,I have never seen a long sleek bib cat(that's what I call them when they have the white on their chest).Don't you love the white whiskers,though...Toby has all white but then his eyebrow whiskers are grey on one side and white on the other,it looks like he lost some since the greys fade into his fur.
How old is Mystic?Toby turned 5 in June but he still thinks he's a baby and he expects to be treated as such!
I noticed in the "window" picture that Mystic doesn't have every hair in place,Toby is like that.He can just wake up with serious bed hair and he takes care of it when he gets around to it and not before. Is she like that?Dixie gets uppity and goes into a mad combing frenzy if we mess with her fur, lol.
You have a real beauty there...
kezzer-That's about the same age as Dixie and I noticed the same with her. She's beginning to blossom into a double wide, lol. She does have that girlish round figure though and she slinks and sways when she walks.
theyeti
12-08-2003, 12:04 AM
Yeah we've had a bit of a mouse problem here lately... we took the picture to prove that she can still catch 'em!
Mystic's 13ish. We got her at some sort of farmer's market thing when I was real little... she also had a twin who had the little white mustache on the opposite side. Really weird. But we couldn't handle more than one at the time (I don't think Mystic would like it now, either!)
Her fur is real short and usually isn't much of a problem tho sometimes there's spurts where it all comes out real easily. Most of the time she doesn't mind if it gets mussed around but right after she eats its grooming time and she'll get ticked if you touch her too much.

I would post a picture of my dog except he is dumb and ugly and would therefore offend this forum. Hence the reason i don't like dogs.

Love the pic's, I have got to sit down and figure out how to do that. We just got a new pet...a registered Palamio Guilding, to add to our collection. He is beautiful and turned 2 on May 11th, which isn't very old for a horse. He is my DH's, now we need to find me one, but I need one a little older, I don't know much about horses. I just really wanted them to have in the pasture up by the house to look pretty...lol I either want a black and white paint or a buckskin, but personality will have a lot to do with the decision! The Palamino is very laid back and I sure like that, he looks like he is going to open his mouth and say something at anytime, guess if he does, we will have to change his name to "Mr. Ed"!

LOL raybeck!
"A horse is a horse, of course, of course and no one can talk to a horse, of course, unless of course, the name of the horse is the famour Mr. Ed!"

06-22-2004, 01:05 AM
I'll work on that...need to include some of my longhorns, too. We have 13 babies on the ground as of yesterday, may have 14 after today, sure is fun, you never can guess the color combinations you might end up with. My DH's cows are fun, too, but you can pretty much plan on black calves...I like to be surprised!!!

I really need to post some of the longhorn's in the blue bonnets this year. We had tons of them on the ranch and it sure makes for a nice back drop!!!

Okay...I'm going to give this a shot...here (hopefully) is a pic of my cat Gus (on the left) and my cat Merlin on the right (who was my baby who died two years ago May 6th) Gus is still with us. If this works I may post a pic of the rat I recently bought my daughter (she isn't full grown yet, and my daughter named her Dora from Dora the Explorer cartoon) and the puppy we just got today. One thing at a time, let's see if I can post the one of Gus and *sniff*
:( Merlin.

I had to go check on them last night for my oldiest. They were curled up on the foot of Jenny's bed fast asleep. I forgot how little kittens can be. Will have to try to get over there with the camera. Our cat met them yesterday. She was not happy to have attention competition.

OMG!!! How cute are they!!!!! What kind of dog is Cowboy with his cute little tuft of hair sticking up??? I love it!!!! :) :) :)
raybeck
05-02-2005, 08:40 PM
Debby, how funny, I had not even noticed the tuft of hair....lol, it is really the tip of her tail and just looks like it is on her head... {rotflmbo} you made my day, I can't believe I had not noticed that myself!!! They are very sweet dogs and to answer your question, Cowgirl is a Red Healer that wandered up to our ranch when she was about 4 mos. old. We tried to ignore her so she would go away, but that only lasted about 1 day....we love her to pieces. We took her in and had her spade and got all the shots and stuff and now she has become a very important part of our family! Our schnauzer, Baby, loves her to death, they are so cute together. Cowgirl has taught Baby how to help round up the cows (if there are just a few, we let Baby help), it would crack you up... Baby loves the ranch and I think it has added years to her life, you would never guess she is almost 12, the pic I posted is just about a month old, she still looks very young!!!

OMG!!! Precious, I love it when a schnauzers ears are not cropped and they hang over like that! My daughter's schnauzer has the kind that stand up and she looks like dumbo the elephant (but she's a very sweet dog). Love your cat, too...makes me sad, I took my Skiddle in today to get fixed...I told the doc. I thought she was pg and he said he would take care of it for me....I told him I don't even want to know!!! I hope she is okay, I miss her already, going to leave her an extra day so she can have some time to heal, she's an outside cat. Now, that's one down and 5 to go!!!!
I love your animals, JAW, but I have a real weakness when it comes to schnauzers, they are the cutest puppies in the whole world!!!

She does indeed. But it is how her hair grows and is colored. When she was little I swore up and down she was a he. Hence the name Andy Griffith. But when she had kittens. I never touched her there to see for sure. I thought, "I grew up on a farm I know what I am seeing. But that little patch of fur is truly flat. I never even notice it anymore. Not a very lady like pic is it?

Scooter is spoiled rotten. He sure needs a bath right now. We have had him 5 years as of January. He was my sisters and the last thing she actually recognized before passing away from cancer. So he is rotten and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Andy was a throw away. She was about starved and skinny in some places and swollen in others. Also one reason for the confusion on my end about her sex. I did bath her in baby shampoo the first day I found her. What a little bundle of dirt. We never really wanted pets but how could we say no to these two? We couldn't.

I took Skiddle in yesterday to get fixed, really had to fight back the tears when I left her. She was scared to death...I am leaving her today so she has an extra day of healing since she is an outside cat and it's a rainy, cold day today. Now, I just have five more to go...

I know the feeling though, I felt the same way when I had to leave my cat at the vets, he had a broken leg and they wanted to keep him to do bloodtests and all that other good stuff.
He's fine now, but his leg grew together crooked ... I guess I have to rename him Limpium {rolleyes}

I go get my Skiddle cat this afternoon, hope she still likes me. Ya know how dogs are always so happy to see you when you pick them up...I don't think cats do that???? I've never had cats and then I get six all at once....but, I'm learning. The little receptionist told me they did not use non dissolving stitches but I could just leave them in anyway??? Ya'll ever heard of such a thing? I told her these are not exactly your everyday, run of the mill cats, they are feral cats and not that easy to put in a box and tote around, so that's when she said to just leave the stitches in.............I'm gonna ask the Doc and see what he says!

I think cats are just as happy, they just don't show it like dogs do ;)

My little Skiddle is home safe and sound. She looks much thinner, but I'm so glad she is home. Now, just 5 more to go, getting expensive, it cost me $115.00 to get her spade and get her rabies shot...........and I have 5 more to take in!!!

My prayers are with Skiddle, and I know how you feel...I have four that need to go in soon...all farm cats...outside. My husband is not happy that I am spending the money to have them fixed, but if I don't we will just have more. And I love them and it is the right thing to do.
JAW...your babies are ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed the pictures!!! :)

My cats are ranch cats (I guess that's what you would call them), they don't know it, since they don't have to work for their food, though! lol
My husband isn't too happy about the expense, either, but to be honest, I can't believe how well he is taking the news, either! Kind of like you said, Debby, you will just keep having more and more and more and more ....
Thanks JAW, I appreciate your advice. She hasn't acted the least bit mad at me. She stayed on a quilt I put on the porch for her all night, (I kept getting up and checking), they would all look at me, like why you always turning the light on, it nighttime!!! lol I just went out and fed them and she's getting around great!!! Now, I have to decide who is next, probably, Maddie and Molly, they are smaller and I could get both of them in my carry case...maybe next week...

I told my daughter to get pics of my grandkitties. She just laughed. Zoey and KiKi are adorable. I can go into her house and say," girls!!" and they come running to see Granny. I love it.

I wish I had photos of Hoss on here! He's a great medium-haired little black cat, the runt of his litter. He loves corncobs, and I have a great photo of him tearing into one, but have to find it...
