Is it appropriate to tip a tennis pro for regular lessons? I'm planning on taking a lesson once or twice a week at public courts that charge a very reasonable $40/hour. Even if tipping isn't expected, would it be appreciated or frowned upon by the pro?

It's not customary to tip a tennis or golf pro. I know that you don't tip at a country club because all of the cost of the lesson goes to the pro. At a public court, I'm sure it works the same.

I don't think it would be frowned upon. Who would object to more money? I just don't think it is necessary because the $40/hour is set by the pro. If he wanted to make more money, he would just charge more.
