It has been snowing on and off all afternoon here in CT. It is so weird! I hope this isn't an indication of the winter to come, I love snow but only at Christmas! It's just been flurrying and showers, I don't thikn it will stick but woah! It is so early to be snowing.

It has been unseasonably cold here today too!
I love it though....I couldn't be happier.
I wish I was in CT right now!

It has been raining here all day. Hopefully, our lakes are filling up some.

In San Antonio, Texas it has been threatening to rain all day, but has really only sputtered a few times.

My sister (who is a truck driver with her husband as a team) is currently in Ohio, and she says they saw some snow this morning there as well. She sees every sort of weather in her criss-crossing of the country. Yesterday she was in California, today Ohio. Tomorrow who knows?

I much prefer cool, crisp weather. Ideally, I love it when it is about 52^F and crisp and clear. Maybe a very light to moderate breeze. Uhhhmmmmm. Fireplace weather!

We almost always get some sort of cold snap right around Halloween, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get some heavy rains, or even hail. Just seems to always come through around the end of October.

52 is fireplace weather? Be glad you haven't been thru negative 52, now THAT's fireplace weather... :)

Up where i am its common to see snow in October, but it never sticks... i like it! Fun to watch, and then it usually goes away perdy quick. And with halloween coming up, the more snow, the less kids, the more candy for me!! heheh *insert evil laugh*

Theyeti - you sound like my hubby with the candy bars! {toothy}

It's been pretty mild here.. a little above normal actually. I'd love to see a nice winter here this year. The last couple of years, we've had snow on the ground either the day before or right on Christmas day. It's neat! Just long enough to build a snowman before the snow melts.

I would give anything to see snow. We have had extremely warm winters the last two years. I have actually had my husband take me to Oklahoma and Arkansas in winter trying to chase snow. Came close last year on our way home from Oklahoma we missed a big snow by 6 hours.

It's hard to get in the Christmas spirit when you are still mowing your yard.

The last snow we had was on my 16th birthday back in 1973. What a wonderful birthday present that was.

Hey, in Texas (specifically San Antonio) we get excited about weather in the 50's!!! But, yes, I've been in the real stuff, too. I lived in Columbus, Ohio during a blizzard that had people snowed into their homes for a week. Icy and slushy and sleet on your windshield.

But, yep, here in San Antonio, we light up our fireplaces at the slightest opportunity!

As I am sitting in my home, freezing today, wishing my heat was on so I could use it. (ok, so I guess it's really not *that* cold, but I am freezing) I came across this thread. What a scary thought snow is to me right now. BRRRRRRRRRR............. {flake}

Boy, this is dragging up an old thread. It's funny that theyeti was around back then.

Indeed it is. ;) I didn't even realize this was an old thread until a read 3 or 4 posts... I was like "Cool! It's snowing over there?!"

{frosty}

It did snow on our side of the Minnesota/Ontario border the other day. 3 inches in some places.

Cool would not be the word I would have looked for had it really been snowing here! {loltext}
