Here is the question:Hello -
A cleaning company cleans my home bi-monthly. Should I give the cleaning person a tip? Last month, I gave the cleaning person a 15% tip.

Here is the answer I gave:If the person doing the cleaning sets the rate, then I wouldn't tip. If it is an employee of a cleaning service, then tip at your discretion. If the person does an outstanding job, a tip might mean that they ask to do your house the next time. If it is a service where you get a different person every time, then it would depend upon the service.
It definitely isn't required. You might ask the owner of the service what is customary.
One other thing to consider: if it is just an employee of a service, s/he probably doesn't get paid much. A tip would mean a lot to him or her.
10-15% is probably a good percentage.
