I should've never posted in the 'flu' thread!

Yesterday morning Pickle woke up feeling cruddy with a high temp. and went downhill from there even after keeping Motrin pumped into her. This afternoon at 1:00, I woke her up and took her temperature and it said 105.9 (I'm thinking my Omron batteries were low) so I gave her three Motrin and started to get her dressed for her appointment.We got there and after the three jr. Motrin, she still had 102.5!

This is a child that suffered several febrile seizures and though I know she's too old for that now, I still get a little freaky.

Anyway, the doctor prescribed Flumadine and H-C Tussive, both liquids because she has a bad gag reflex swallowing pills or liquid.We thought a better chance of her getting the meds down was with liquids...turns out the the Flumadine can be mixed with one oz. of a coke and the H-C doesn't taste bad at all so she's a happy camper albeit a sick one.

Actually, I think she broke her fever this morning. She says she feels much better. Her daddy came home around 2:00 saying he has the flu now and I woke this morning up with a bad head cold.I'm down alot but not out yet...

Jeez, I'm sorry I never did see you asking! Yes,things were good over the holidays. We were all feeling much better just in time after David and I got sick as well.He got the flu and I was stuck with a real bad head cold.

David and I also developed a pair of nasty upper resp. and sinus infections but with the doctors help we pretty much knocked that out in a few days.

I know you didn't want all that info, I just wanted to acknowledge you and to say thanks for asking.
