howling dog

My dog howls at me for no reason and I dont know why. Ive had him since I was in like 4th grade. Its been 10 years and whenever he sees me, he stares, whimpers, and then howls. Well, until I feed him, that is. I have one dog now. I had another one who passed away on Wed, July 16, 2003{blues}. I've had her since I was like 5. But anyhoo back to my howling dog. Well, actually...Thats just my 'rant' and since its concerning a pet, I put it in here. Was I supposed to put it under 'Anything Goes'?

Maybe he's sick.

Or maybe he's just the type of dog that likes to howl. Some dogs are quiet, some are noisy.

Nope. he started months ago. He's like really, really lonely. He was used to having 2 dogs around, and when my other dog died, my uncles dog (who lived here) went to some Rottweiler Kennel Breeder thingie where my uncle got him from. My uncles in the military, so he was drafted to Cuba. but back to my dog, when i come home in the evenings, he runs up to me and starts howling...so it prolly just means he's lonley...he's not a yappy dog. he's quiet, except when he barks at strangers.

but then again, maybe is feeling sick. he's been eating alot of grass lately and that usually means they're not feeling good.

Sounds right. Most dogs like being around other people or other dogs. He probably is lonely.
