Ahh!! I have an isane little kitty!! He's in that lovely kitten stage where they climb up your legs with the claws out. YAy!!! Yesterday he tried and I had shorts on. Ouch!!! He also likes tea!!! He nearly knocked my daughters tea out of her hands sohe could get some of it!!! This kitty is so crazy at times he runs around and bonks his head into the walls, then gets back up and does it some more!!!
I want to hear your crazy pet stories!! Or am I the only one with silly animals???

One of our big dogs, "Miami" is a total clutz. He's well over 120 lbs. now. He still thinks he's a cute LITTLE puppy! Tries to climb up in my lap. Has tipped me over backwards in a recliner because of his weight. I like to go out in the back yard and throw softballs around for the dogs to chase. He runs like a maniac after one, you ought to see the way he runs...looks goofy as all get out. Then he grabs the ball and comes tearing back to me as fast as he can.
Unfortuately, he doesn't seem to grasp how long it takes to slow himself down. I usually can jump out of the way fast enough to keep from getting bowled over, and he usually comes to a screeching halt about 3 feet beyond where I was standing. There are those days however, when I'm just not quick enough and I end up flat on my back, a big dumb dog, with a softball in his mouth, standing over the top of me wagging his tail like crazy.

That must be a sight to see! I wish we could have a dog, they can be so much fun! Miami sounds like a great dog, maybe a little over rambunctious sometimes though!!! But isn't that what makes a pet great?!=^.^=

Yes it is! He's a big dog - looks weird and most people are afraid of him just because he's so big. He's one of the nicest dogs I've ever had around me. :) Love him and all of them to pieces.
Pook is a black lab mix we have. He's scared to death of thunderstorms... SO bad that the vet gave me valium to sedate him with. Last time there was a thunderstorm... I had given him the pill. Little later, I went into the bedroom, of course he followed. I went to get a clean towel from underneath the sink/vanity thing. Left the door open and he climbed in through the door and was all squeezed up under the sink. He's not a small dog either... right around 75 lbs. I had to call the hubby in to see that. The only thing that was sticking out was his tail. Weird dogs I tell ya! Must be something in the water! {toothy}
Whenever my family and I go somewhere, our dog will get up in one of our livingroom chairs. When we get home we can sometimes catch her getting down from the chair. She also likes to get up on my mom and dad's bed, right by the pillows of course.

I don't know what crazy things my babies are doing now, but when she was little one of our kitties used to try and attack herself in the mirror. She would stand on her back legs and try and hit her reflection with her front paws. Boy, do I wish I had that on film:)!

I love when kittens are at that stage...they are so cute and playful.
I had one...she would fetch for me...but the only thing she would ever play with, was the little red plastic ring around the top of the gallon of milk. Nothing else.
I also had a male cat....named Sam.
He was nasty to everyone except me...when my girlfriend Kim would come over to the house, Sam would perch himself on top of the fridge and when Kim would pass by him, he'd pounce right on top of her head!! He would just claw the **** out of her face and scalp.
I know that doesn't sound so funny, but she would crack up everytime!!

I don't think this is against the rules...I hope not!
I came across this in an email today...and I know there are some major Cat fans in here...go check it out!
FREE Kitten Care Kit from Purina
KittenCareKit (http://offers.purina.com/kittenchow/kitten_care1.asp)
I already checked it out for myself, and it is a legitimate free offer.

Yes it is a real offer. I'm a member of the Purina Pro Club. They offer free puppy care kits too. I'm not sure if you have to be a member or not to get the puppy kits. Anyways, the reason I belong to it is that we have over 5 dogs, which is one of the requirements to belong to the club. You can also belong if you breed or show dogs. With us, the main reason for becoming a member was that we use Purina Dry Dog food and as a member you can turn in the weight circles on the bags for coupons off future purchases. I think it's 400 lbs and you get six $6 off (per bag) coupons. Hey, we go through 50 lbs. of a dry every week, so for us it pays off! Plus, our dogs do really well on that brand of dog food. After trying more expensive brands, we have found we have the least stomach upsets with this brand. Just one of those things. If anyone else here has 5 or more dogs or is a breeder, let me know and I'll dig up the info needed to join the club. :)

Oooh, I've got to tell y'all about Baroo. He's one of those timid (most of the times) big baby dogs. He's about 70 lbs., is black with a little bit of tan on his ears and paws, and has white with black speckled legs. Anywho... he's such a big baby it cracks me up.
I can kneel down when he's lying on the floor, pick up one of his paws, gently stroke it and say in a kind of babying voice: "what's the matter Roo, did you hurt your paw? Awww.. poor baroo". Carry it on for a few minutes then stand up and walk a little ways away. He'll come limping over, like he hurt his paw!
Last night he fell asleep by the front door, his back leg was sticking straight up in the air. I thought it would get uncomfortable when he woke up, so when I walked by, I gently reached down and shook his front paw a little to half wake him up. Didn't think much of it, til about ten minutes later as I'm getting ready for bed, he comes limping into the bedroom. I checked his foot out all over, (forgetting that little wake up shake) and was confounded as to what was wrong. Then it hit me that I had shook his paw... evidently he thought the "Oh, poor baby" game was on!! {toothy}
Love 'em!!

Anyone have a grumpy cat? Puff is a big ball of fur and kind of chunky besides. She is one of those cats that's just kind of ornery at all times. She likes to be petted once in a great while, but most of the times if you pet her, she gets this look on her face like "Just what do you think you are doing? Did I ask to be petted?"

Oh my Gram had a =^.^= like that. He was humongous!
and as you said, ornery all the time.
He even looked like a grouch...his facial expressions were grumpy.
You could only pet him when 'he' felt like it....which was like once a month or so...he never sat on laps....if you picked him up, he would look you in the eye with the nasty, snobbiest look! Like, "how dare you?!?!"
he was a trip.

Crazy pet stories? Where do I start? How about a cat that thinks he's a dog, or a dog that thinks he human and will tell you what he wants. I have the brother to kezzer's kitty this cat thinks he's a dog, he'll sit in between my two adult dogs and wait for puppy treats, he gets them than he eats it he likes to chew on ham bones and prefers puppy chow over kitten chow. He has learn to sit when he's told and he likes to take a shower. If you go to take a shower he'll follow you if you let him in the shower he'll sit off to the side while you shower. He's a strange, crazy, cute, lovable little kitty.

Uh Yup! Think that cat of yours Berta definitely qualifies as crazy. That's so cute how he thinks he's a dog, especially how you've trained him to sit! Gosh, wish I could train our cats to do that! Awww... he sounds like a sweetie pie! I bet you get lots of good laughs over those antics. :)
