Maybe it is just an election year. Maybe I'm just four years older and four years wiser. Maybe I'm just cranky because I haven't had any breakfast.
I'm tired of people of both political persuasions, any religious affilliation, and whatever ideology claiming that people who disagree with them are evil and/or stupid.
Republicans used to act like it was going to be the end of the world if Clinton got elected. Guess what! The world didn't end. Now the world will end if Kerry gets elected. That's just silly. If you voted for Clinton, you were either an idiot or a moral reprobate. That's just silly. I'm amazed at the malarkey that I hear come oout of the mouths of people I know at church.
There were Democrats who said they would leave the country if Bush got elected. I wish they had gotten on the bus with the Republicans who felt that way about Clinton or Gore. I might have paid for all of their tickets.
Now we have candidates and their hoardes demonizing each other and claiming all kinds of evil conspiracies. It's getting to the point where I can't stand listening to talk radio anymore.
Sometimes at FrappyDoo and at other boards, it feels like I could start a thread about cheeseburgers and a political or moral fight would break out. Grrrrrrrrrrrr...
I want to apologize for my contribuitions to this insanity. I know I have fallen into it. I know I have jumped into it. And I sincerely ask for your forgiveness. If I do it again, call me on it.
