I go to Backworks for a chiropractic appointment and then a 45 min massage this is covered by insurance and I am charged my standard co-pay. Am I suppose to tip the massage therapist even though it is considered a doctors appointment? I am confussed it is like going to the Dr. you pay the co-pay and that's it, or is this different?
Help!

Good question.

There is no tipping in a doctor's office for massage therapists.

There are others who just come in for a massage and tip? Because mine is covered by insurance, even though it is not in a doctors office I shouldn't be expected to tip right? Thanks for the help

You don't tip at a chiropractor's office. They don't get to have it both ways. They are not MDs, but they want to be (and are) considered physicians. You don't tip at a doctor's office.

I see a massage therapist every two weeks because I have fibromyalgia. Massage therapy is a covered benefit on my insurance with a flat copay. The therapist I see works at a massage therapy office where several massage therapists work, and that's all they do there.

Am I required to tip? And, if so, on what? Meaning do I have to tip on the entire fee schedule amount, on the copay amt, or what? My copay is $20 per visit.

I don't think so because it is in a medical setting with insurance coverage.
