If your dog no longer recognises the postman or insists on barking up the wrong tree, help is in sight. Pets whose world has gone fuzzy could find a clearer view with a pair of canine spectacles.

Doggles, as they are called, are strapped in place and look a little like aviator goggles. The Californian company that produces them has a range of colours to ensure dogs look like the cat's whiskers (as well as being able to see them).

Before buying, owners take their pets to a vet for an eye test.

This is the neatest thing I have heard of yet. The article explains how the test is done. Rather interesting.

That's why you always need to post a clip from the article, not just a link to it. Eventually, the article goes away.

That is funny, the doggles I knew of weren't prescription but rather eye protection, for say, sticking there heads out windows, etc. The concept is wonderful, though!

and...speaking of dogs, and since I'm here...my website is finally running with the help of my wonderful bro! check it out, if you'd like! www.seespotrelax.com

I did find a site that sells uv ray protection for dogs.

Your site is adorable JM. I love the lab puppy with his nose sticking out. Tons of info on your site too. I hope it gets lots of customers heading your way.

Thanks for the compliment on the site. I love the pictures on there too. I am actually going to consulting a graphic designer to help me design a logo but until then this works. I'm really happy with the way it turned out - my bro did an awesome job! BTW thanks for the link! What a hoot! They suit the black lab, unfortunately I don't think it would be very flattering for either of my dogs. Big lips, droopy faces...it would be humorous nonetheless...

That's just too funny - is there any information as to whether or not the dogs LIKE the goggles?
