I need an advice and I would very much appreciate a quick response, because the time is running out! ;-)
My son takes music lessons once a week. The teacher comes to our house, and she does a very good job. I pay her $45 per visit/lesson. She is self-employed. How much should I tip her on Christmas?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Mr. Lewis, the etiquette guru will probably be able to answer that one...

It is not necessary to tip your music teacher. If you really want to tip at Christmas, then tip the amount of one or two sessions.

Maybe give her a gift instead of money?!

Or better yet what is wrong with tipping what you feel like tipping her?
