Does anyone know if you are supposed to tip at a child's party?(i.e. Chuck E. Cheese, bowling alley, skating rink etc.)

I think it's really up to you ... but I'd say yes, if you have a personal waiter/waitress throughout the party. Not sure if Chucky Cheese works of tips though, I guess you could call them and find out if the waiters are on salary or not.
I know for a fact the bowling-alley here has tip-based waiters, so yes, I tip at the bowling-alley.
Welcome to FrappyDoo! Stick around :)

I went and looked on Chuck E. Cheese's website. I read what all you get when you reserve a birthday party. It sounds like fun, but it also sounds like hard work for the host or hostess you get. It said:
a host or hostess to personally serve you and your guests and assist with the party
I would probably tip regardless. If you are taking a bunch of young children this is going to be work for you and the host/hostess. They will have earned a tip by the time he/she sees you out the door. Especially if it is just one person assigned to help you and your guests and they have actually been helpful. I don't know if I would tip more than one person assigned to help with the party or not. It would depend on the work done and how much help is actually given.

The tipping is whatever it would be at any other restaurant. If you have waiters/waitresses helping you, then you tip them. Can you be more specific? What kind of service will you be getting?

What I read on the site Jim was that you get your pizza served to each child, two slices a person. The cake served to your party. There is drinks. They also provide tokens to play the games. The service includes decorations and party favors. It also said you will get a (assuming one here) host/hostess to personally serve your group. One reason I would most definitely tip. It is hard work keeping children happy when they are in a large group or even a semi-small one for that matter.

Sounds like you should tip. I'd ask the manager. You will probably give it to the hostess who will distribute it to those doing the work.
