I think the ideas for daily threads and welcoming people has really helped. I also think the name change has been a huge improvement - I've noticed a bit of a rise in member subscriptions since then...could just be my imagination, but I suspect the name makes people curious, and is more inviting.

I like tracking this because it tells me how many days it takes to reach landmarks. From that I can tell if the average posts per day is increasing or decreasing. I'd do it with SQL, but I can't figure out how dates are stored in this database.
