All I do is hit quote and then backspace whatever part it is I am taking out.

You press on the quote-butten, then you just delete what you don't wan't to quote

So, Kezzer, when you hit quote the whole quote comes up and you backspace only the part you want to quote??? I have been taking out all the other part and leaving the part I wanted to quote and that is a pain, so if I am understanding you correctly, I am doing it the opposite of how I should be? Looks like you could just highlight the part you want to quote, but that sure hasn't worked for me!!!

You can ... highlight the part you want to quote ... rightclick 'copy' ... in the reply box click the # ... rightclick 'paste' ... click the # again ... you're done ;)

I got kicked off of here and liked to have never gotten back on...anyway, obviously, I know how to do an entire quote, but guess you have to draw me a picture for partial quotes... do you highlight first then copy then hit post reply? I'm not really following you on in the reply box click the #...what # (please don't laugh), I'm tring to understand what you mean because I know there has to be a simple way to do this, as always I appreciate you help, now can you draw me a picture...lol

If you click 'post reply' ... there's a little thingy you can click, it's # ... that's what I meant. It's not in the quick reply though. What you have to do there is type
at the beginning and
at the end of what you want to quote (without the spaces) ;)

Okay, that worked, but it doesn't show who originally posted what I quoted, any trick for that?

Well, it didn't really work, it just posted what I copied for some reason! arrrg

Oh MAN, never new posting a quote had to be so complicated, but I think I can do it now, just have to decide if it is worth all the work...lol Thanks, Nosey!

It's a LOT easier to just hit 'Quote' and erase what you don't want to quote {laughc}

I think I have to agree with you on that one!!! Thanks to all you guys that tried to help me...maybe, I'm not hopeless I had been doing it where you just erase what you don't want, but thought there was an easier way!!! I appreciate it!
