Most of you are aware of my cat problem that I have inherited since moving in our house. Well, I've taken 2 of the cats in for spaying, still have one Tom to get in and 3 females, 2 of which are more on the wild side, although they have come a long way over the months, I would not attempt to pick either of them up. In the morning Ray is taking the last tame one in to get her spayed...problem is...out of the blue... we have 2 tiny kittens that were climbing on the outside fireplace while ago. I feel sure they have just wandered up to my house, but not positive they aren't one of my cats kittens. I think I would have noticed something to give it away before now, as the two little kittens look older than just a few weeks. They have their eyes open, and ran from me. I don't know what to do!!!! I can't take on anymore cats and I don't know how to catch the 2 I have that are wild and get them into the vet. I'm just sick about this...I can't stand for anything to go hungary, but a person can only take care of so many pets. Anyone have words of wisdom for me, I'm desperate about what to do and how to do it. This is costing a fortune on the spaying, but that's not really the issue, I just don't know what to do, except sit down and have a cry!!!

Well, now I have an update, just went back outside and there were 3 kittens nursing on one of my cats that's on the wild side. How in the world she had kittens without me knowing she was even pg, is beyond me. She never even got fat! They are at least 4 weeks old, I would say...I really am at a loss as to what to do about this situation!

hmmm. On the bright side, your grandkids could really enjoy their next visit!
Also, aren't the kitties good to have around to keep the varments at bay?

Yes, it's good to have a couple around, but I already have six and two cats that I haven't spayed yet and I know they are probably pg, too (well, make that three cats that aren't fixed counting the one that has the new kittens). It's a bad situation for me and for the cats. I love the ones I have gotten attached to, but I can't handle anymore at this point. I'm also trying to get all of them rabies shots, along with getting them fixed, it is getting way expensive at this point! aarrggg!!!

Gosh Raybeck...I wonder where they originated from? Like did someone move away and leave them or dump them? We're so "cityfied" here it's hard to imagine that problem. Could you take them to a shelter for adoption? The kittens can be tamed by the shelter if caught young, I think. Our "Oliver" cat was born second generation of a wild country cat.

I'm pretty sure we have a neighbor down the way that just lets any old thing breed and really doesn't care if they stay or go somewhere else (like my house), anytime we stop by their place they have new kittens or puppies, makes me sick. I'm doing all I can to prevent this and most people don't give a hoot!!! They aren't very easy to catch, had I known about the new ones I could have held them and they would be more tame at this point, but she (the Mama cat) sure tricked me, I still can't believe it!!! I'm going to try and get the last one that is more tame this morning and Ray said he would take her in to be fixed for me. He sure is being sweet about all of this, including all the money I have spent...

Talk to local feed yard and ranchers. They might need some good barn cats for the mice and snakes. Advertise that you have cats to give away to good homes. Call them good mousers. Who knows someone might be looking for a problem to a mouse problem in their barn or garage.

I agree with JAW Beck. That's what I would do.
