I think everyone alive has what we call a 'junk drawer'...I have a couple of them...and I remember when I was a kid, my parents had a few of them too.
What kind of weird stuff do you have in your 'junk drawer'?

Me:

rubberbands...we've got a zillion of them, and never use any!
old buttons
hit parader magazines
half a deck of playing cards
screw driver with broken handle
tons of dead batteries
pens with no ink and pencils with no points
scotch tape dispensers

One of them has envelopes, note cards, aluminum foil, baggies and the such, maps, tape, tealite candles, recipe cards and books, address labels and batteries.
Another one has bills.( I feel they belong in a drawer classified as junk!!) I have a drawer for my computer disks, one for all my computer manuals, one for pens, pencils etc.

I have two or them - His and Hers!! His has all kinds of things - super glue, matches, screws of every size and shape, funny looking little lightbulbs, rubber bands, blades for an Exacto knife, washers - stuff like that. Mine is full of recipes, birthday candles, shopping lists, pens and pencils, note paper, those thingies that you use to recharge cell phones, address books, coupons, gum, chapstick, directions for kitchen gadgets and weird looking little things that I don't know what they are but are afraid to throw them out in case I really need them someday.

We have a junk drawer in every room, except for the kitchen. Kitchen is way too small to not make use of every little nook and cranny.
Living room has living room type stuff in it, computer room has computer room type stuff in it...and other strange odds and ends that I've brought along with me through my life since I left my parent's home EONS ago, bedroom has bedroom type stuff in it....even the bathrooms have junk drawers!
