For all of you U.S. citizens--who's coming for the holidays? How many people will be at your Thanksgiving celebration?

too many. we're eating at my uncle's new house, which they just moved into and is all full of boxes. We'll have him, his fiancee and their 2 children, their grandmother and her son, my grandmother, another aunt of mine, her daughter, my 2 parents, my stepdad, and my cousin. Lets see... that makes.... 13 i think? Ugh.

On a typical holiday: My family (3), my younger sister's family (5), my brother and his girlfriend, my older sister's family (2), parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle, my grandmother's cousin, my in-laws (2). That's 21.
This time we are splitting the crowd because my wife has some friends coming into town.

I'm not sure, we're going to my Aunt's. There will be at least 17 but possibly more.

My family (4), mother, father, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nephews, neices, to many kids to even count. We also all usually bring one or two people who don't have anywhere else to go for Thanksgiving, some are church members, friends, a couple of times it was just someone we met at a store and invited. So we never really know how many there will be but it's alot.

Karen,
Imagine what Thanksgiving is going to be like when your six kids are married. YIKES! You better get a bigger house.

It's usually my husband, his parents, two sets of aunts and uncles and my in-laws neighbors. We usually have it over to Bill's mom and dads house... they're the only ones whose house isn't full of pets!! They only have two dogs. The rest of us are really up there in the pet numbers... so his mom and dad's is a "safe" house for bunches of food. ;)

I was just going to start a topic on this very issue until i saw one was already open. I am going to have 12 or so people at my house. 4 families including mine.

I've got two households - so it's gonna be an adventure.
Usually I spend half the day at one house, and then the other - two Thanksgiving meals! I usually gain somewhere between 6 and 7 pounds on this day. :D
This year, since my Mom will be out in Florida from 12-19 until 12-29, she's going to have me Thursday for Thanksgiving, and the Thanksgiving over here at my dad's house will be delayed until Friday - thankfully the rest of our family has agreed to this, including an Uncle who flew in from Florida! He was gonna be here anyway though, but it's still nice of him.
We usually go to my Grandparents House - step-grandparents for me at least - Bob and Barbara. Nice people, and a nice house - big, too.
We'll have myself, 3 siblings, 2 half-siblings, father, stepmother (over 7 months pregant with half-sibling #3), two uncles, an aunt, the grandparents, and possibly another entire family made up of around 3 kids and 2/3 adults (not sure yet).
In short: that's a lot of stuffing. Last year we had the thing catered.

When all of us kids moved out, my parents bought a larger house just for that reason. Of course, all of us but one live in the same town, so it wasn't necessary. If everybody is likely to stay local, just get a house with a huge kitchen and living area. That way you can do holidays easily.

We only had 16. My grandmother is sick. :( I'm just spreading my germs all over CT.!!
I had none. I ate all by myself in my house.
