Birds!

We have some of the most beautiful birds around here. Bluebirds, Bluejays, Goldfinches, Purplefinches, Cardinals... and then there are these huge buzzards and hawks. Makes me scared for the neighbors kids!! {toothy} What are some of the birds you have around your area? Do you have feeders? Oooh, we have hummingbirds in the summertime too. Does anyone know how to make suet?

We have pretty much the same types. We have ospreys on the shoreline. a few vultures, hawks, maybe some eagles. We sell suet at the store, it's a part of the beef I think. We have a bird feeder that looks like an old bait store!! I love it.

Man oh Man. My mom is a bird collector. Only she has them inside the house. Those cockatoos are the schreechingest (is that a word) pets ever.

My college roommate had one that he taught to poop every time he said, "Squaaaaaaaatttt." Then one day he walked outside with it when its wings weren't clipped well enough. Can you say several hundred dollars flying away?

At my husbands 2nd job there is a macaw. He is good at swearing, and then my husband taught it to say WAZZUP! I didn't believe him until I called there once and heard him in the background WAZZUP!

My mom's bird imitates the sound of the alarm system being armed and disarmed. Now they are trying to teach it to sing "God Bless America."

It also imitates my mom's coughs and sneezes and the phone ringing.
