That's actually the name of our Rottweiller! Can you believe it? My first husband named her. She's 9 now. She's our kids' mother! If they fall or get hurt and she's not the first one to get to them - she glares at you! If she is the first one to get to them, she checks them out fully before getting out of the way so we can get to them. :) She used to sleep under the crib when my kids were in it, if they even moved she'd come in to get me. I'd have the monitor on and you could hear everything in the room. The dog would be in a panic! It was cute! Now, she sleeps between their rooms at the top of the stairs. She makes her rounds, checking on them before she settles herself with her paws hanging off the top step.

So what do we call her? Py (pie). Pythagomas if she's in trouble! or when she {fart} WHEW she's a potent animal! Just never feed her pork!

an old friend of ours wrote a poem about Pythagomas - a girl who was of the "squigglefist clan" (like in the "olden days" in many countries) and her tallent was that she could bend smoke. So, since in his poem the characters names included their "talent", her name was "Pythagomas Smoke Bender, Daughter of the Squigglefist Clan." It was a real neat poem, wish I had kept a copy of it! The name fits her too. She has an ear that has never stood up and her tail was never docked. My first husband wanted to shave and tattoo her lazy ear but I wouldn't let him! She's quite a character! (gee, wonder where she got that from?) :)

I came in here simply because the name looked interesting!
I wonder what it would cost to have that engraved in her dog tag?

Oh I love unusual names for pets. That name has got to take the gold for being the most unusual I've ever heard! Great name Lisa!!
