the bill has not been passed yet. I posted this information so people can be aware of the situation and be the change by voting against it and signing the pettition.
This bill will force every american to aid abortion. (you, me and all others). This clearly contradicts the bible and this is one rule we must not follow. So by stopping this bill before it is passed is the only option we have. otherwise, we are technically aiding murder. If it is passed, how do we not obey this rule? do we stop paying our taxes to not be a contribitior to sin?

Post Scare Tactic

If you do a news search, you'll see the only organizations covering it are conservative Web sites that openly refer to the reform bills as "ObamaCare" (not exactly an objective name for it) and are very biased in the reporting.

Here's what likely happened: The House bill includes a section allowing for outside medical organizations to sponsor on-site health clinics, like a school nurse. Those who are against "ObamaCare" highlighted it and put out press releases arguing that if:
  1. The bill allows for health clinics at schools, and
  2. Planned Parenthood is a health clinic, then
  3. The bill allows for Planned Parenthood clinics at school.
While technically possible, it's highly unlikely. Read the portion below. Nowhere does it sound like it is meant for anything other than basic medical needs. Planned parenthood provides counseling, not medicine. It would be a waste to have them at a school. And local governments still have the right to regulate them.

It's a mistake to be against anything Obama proposes because he's a democrat, regardless of facts. And it would be a mistake to spend your energy on something like this. But that's just my opinion.

I couldn't post the relevant portion due to length, but you can read it here. ( ‘SEC. 399Z-1. SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CLINICS.)

You could very much be correct with those steps of 1, 2 and 3. But the bill could come with a bunch of bells and whistles, but the moment it could aid an abortion to anyone-it no longer matters what it can do for schools. Abortion is abortion and i will never agree to pay a portion of my hard earned money to be a contribution to murder.

A school health clinic never has, and has no reason to, ever perform an operation/surgery on campus. No student will walk in during their lunch break and get an abortion right there in the administration building. They just won't.

You could argue that the nurses could advise an abortion, but they can do that now, too. Yet, most of them don't in fear of getting angry parents against them.

lol be realistic Radu. :p If you get creative with your thinking you could agree that any student can go before, during, or after school. Maybe you wouldn't kill a child during your lunch break. But another may.

All in all, this isn't a case of weather or not somone would or not during any part of a school day. Its under the facts that they ultimately would be able to provide abortions if one so chooses to want one. That is the issue. I don't care how much insight they give students about sex and all that jazz. Our country is trying to get all these young people pros at sex before they even have sex. Where if they obeyed the bible, we wouldn't have this issue in the first place :p

I oppose this bill because it does aid abortions to the willing. And i'm not going to pay my part of taxes to be a contributor to murder.

If you read the bill over again..it implys that in school planned parenthood would not need consent of any parent. It would leave the oppinion of the gaurdian out of the picture.

They can do that now. They just have to travel a bit further. But that distracts from the point that this is NOT what this section of the bill is about.

First of all, again, the bill says nothing about Planned Parenthood. Second, the bill states:
Quote:
‘(b) Eligibility- To be eligible for a grant under this section, an entity shall--

‘(1) be an SBHC (as defined in subsection (l)(4)); and

‘(2) submit an application at such time, in such manner, and containing such information as the Secretary may require, including at a minimum--

‘(A) evidence that the applicant meets all criteria necessary to be designated as an SBHC;

‘(B) evidence of local need for the services to be provided by the SBHC;

‘(C) an assurance that--

‘(i) SBHC services will be provided in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws governing--

‘(I) obtaining parental or guardian consent; and

‘(II) patient privacy and student records, including section 264 of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and section 444 of the General Education Provisions Act;
For the record, I am against abortions, and I would be very against bringing Planned Parenthood into schools to encourage abortion. But I'm also against partisan scare tactics, and organizations lying to us for political gain. The conservative cause will go much further if it focuses on real issues and not exaggerated ones.
